2025/26 Pricing (effective 1 July 2026)

Personal Tax Returns (non-business & non-entity)

Existing McKinley Plowman Personal Tax Return Clients
  1. Records supplied electronically: 2024/25 fee less 10%
  2. Records supplied as hard copies: 2024/25 fee plus 15%
  3. In person meeting, emails, phone calls, additional advice and ad-hoc tasks as requested: $275 per hour (in addition to the above-mentioned fee)

Note: As per the above pricing, we have done our best to provide a cost-effective option for clients wishing to utilise a more modern and efficient process. The above price guide assumes your 2025/26 personal tax return will be similar in nature to your 2024/25 return. If your circumstances have changed and your 2025/26 return is more or less complex, our standard hourly rate of $275 per hour will apply to the additional or reduced time required.

Our staff work on an hourly charge out rate and our fee will be calculated based on the complexity of the financial statement(s) and/or tax return(s), the expertise required, and the time taken to complete the work.

FAQs

How do I submit my documents? As you may be aware from last year, we continue to invest in a streamlined, modern solution to help you send us all relevant documentation required to complete your year-end tax work efficiently and securely. Our online questionnaires allow us to collect the information we require with a focus on cyber security, ease-of-use for our clients, and efficiency for our team in preparing and lodging your returns in a timely manner. You’ll find links to our questionnaires above.

Who will prepare my personal tax return? For our personal tax clients, we have generally moved away from allocating independent client managers. Instead, all returns will now be managed through a pooled approach where any of our wonderful personal tax team can pick up the job. This allows us to allocate returns to the next available accountant so they can be completed in a timely fashion. For clients engaging us to complete complex tax returns, a dedicated client manager will generally be assigned.

When should I lodge my tax return through MP+? The best time to lodge a tax return is from late July. This is because by that time, your employer has usually submitted your income statement with the ATO and it will be pre-filled and available for us to access. Other important information, such as details of bank interest, private health insurance and government payments will also be available to us via pre-fill reports. Pre-filled information helps us make your tax returns much more efficient and accurate. If we can’t access pre-filled information, additional time and cost (per the fee schedule above) will be required to find, calculate, and enter the information.
