McKinley Plowman & Associates is a firm of Certified Practising Accountants, financial planners and finance brokers that is dedicated to supporting our clients’ goals.
Our accounting, financial planning and finance broking divisions provide the expertise and resources of large city based firms, while offering the competitive fee structure and personal service of a suburban practice.
We have expanded considerably since opening our doors in 1997 – a time when kangaroos were still bounding their way around what is now Joondalup’s thriving business district.
We started our practice with goals of providing exceptional client service, providing an enjoyable place to work and becoming an employer of choice.
A great testimony to our success in achieving these goals is the many client generated referrals that have helped us become one of Perth’s biggest suburban based accounting companies.

Murray McKinley

Murray McKinley is a recognised and trusted authority on self managed superannuation funds, tax minimisation, personal and commercial investment and overseas pension transfers.
A Certified Practising Accountant and financial planning specialist, Murray works with financial planning and business clients, specialising in business structures, tax planning, wealth creation, self managed superannuation funds and overseas pension transfers.
Driven by a passion for devising creative strategies for driving the personal and commercial financial success of clients, he believes success is the result of inspiration, hard work and a “judicious intersection of planning and opportunity.” He is a member of CPA Australia, the National Institute of Accountants (NIA), the Financial Planning Association and FINSIA (Financial Services Institute of Australia).
Nigel Plowman
Director FPNA, FTIA, D.Bus. (Acc)
Prior to forming McKinley Plowman & Associates, Nigel specialised in management consulting and international accounting, enjoying success in Australia and in the United Kingdom.
His extensive experience in management consulting, international accounting and innovative tax structures has been a major driver in the success of McKinley Plowman & Associates as well as the many businesses he has steered towards new levels.
Nigel is dedicated to fast-tracking his client goals with cutting edge tax and business strategies. He is a member of the National Institute of Accountants and the Taxation Institute of Australia and enjoys developing tax strategies that work well here and around the world.
Paul Moran
Director – MIAA
Paul brings more than 25 years experience in finding financial solutions for homebuyers, investors and business owners to the McKinley Plowman & Associates team.
A licensed broker and member of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA), Paul’s extensive experience includes 20 years with a major bank, seven of which were as commercial banking manager.
His integral role with the McKinley Plowman & Associates practice enables Paul to deliver a holistic financial solution to achieve the best possible outcome for a client’s personal or commercial lending needs. Paul also provides a comprehensive financial consultancy to business owners on commercial, equipment and invoice finance.
